Dayra Barona is a communications and marketing strategist with expertise in digital marketing, social media, and outreach. Originally from Colombia, she is passionate about supporting and learning the unique needs of immigrants to create valuable content that enhances engagement and has a positive impact on communities.
Dayra holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the Autonomous University of the West in Cali, Colombia, and also received a Specialization in Marketing Management and a Marketing Analytics Certification. After working as a journalist for media and digital outlets, she came to New York and realized the professional challenges of integrating a new workforce. She discovered New Women New Yorkers and enrolled and graduated from the LEAD program in the Summer 2020.
Dayra loves running and hiking, and other outdoor activities; she also likes reading about entrepreneur stories or leaders who changed the world.
